SPICE UP YOUR CRUISING SPINNAKER!! Seldén has introduced a new gennaker bow sprit for deck assembly.
Unless your boat was built with the use of a cruising chute in mind, it probably lacks a good point for attaching the tack. This is a kit that can improve your sail handling by getting the tack clear of your bow sprit, anchor and whatever else lives at the bow! Basically, you fit two pad-eyes on deck in-line with a bow bracket. The bow bracket is a stainless steel ring with a polyamide inner lining through which you slide the bow sprit to active position. When you are done with the gennaker, slide the bow sprit back and secure it to the aft pad-eye. The inboard end features a spring loaded plunger for easy attachment to the pad-eye. The gennaker tackline is preferably pulled through the bow sprit. The line enters a well rounded hole in the outboard end and comes out through the inboard end.
