New Furlex 200S aboard Vagabond 52
 
Just Back From Cat Cay, Bahamas install of a new Furlex on Vagabond 52
Above you see our rigger, Rob Mundell as he makes final adjustments to a newly installed Furlex furling system aboard Welsh Rover II, a Vagabond 52 in Cat Cay, Bahamas. The owner was sailing with his wife and a friend South from Florida towards the Bahamas when their furling system's drum exploded in moderate winds. We had recommended replacing it after a rigging survey of the boat months before. Luckily, no one was injured and the boat came away with only damage to the Genoa. Rob brought the customer's sail back to our loft and Ray repaired it. The boat had gone on the the Exumas, so we shipped the sail to meet the boat upon its arrival.
